Protect your personal information
Keep your phone number, home address, workplace, and financial details private until you genuinely trust the person. Messaging stays on Nairobi Singles until you decide otherwise.
Video chat before meeting
A quick video call helps confirm the person matches their profile before you meet in person.
Meet in public, tell someone
Choose a public place for your first meeting, arrange your own transport, and let a friend or family member know where you're going and who you're meeting.
Watch for red flags
Be cautious of anyone who asks for money, gifts, or financial details; avoids video calls or in-person meetings; has a story that doesn't add up; or pressures you to move fast or move off the platform immediately. These are common scam patterns — trust your instincts.
Block and report
You can block anyone at any time — it ends contact in both directions immediately. Reporting sends the profile to our moderation team for review. Neither requires the other person's cooperation or awareness.
